I highly doubt it was because he was using HD floppies that his drive died.

it might work.... but it definitely isnt any good for your drive at all....

DD disks are not that hard to find if you put forth a sincere effort, but a replacement drive for the mpc60 is kind of a rare thing, not to mention a bit expensive...

it's common knowledge that is isnt good to do, many people get away with it, but the 60 is 16 years old, so for how long?

yea, i dont know man... my floppy is shot, and whenever i get that ish replaced imma be super kind to that thing since i already know how it is to be without a floppy drive... shit, ive never even heard the sounds on the disks that my OS upgrade came with... ive got only 10 DD disks that i found unopened/sealed at the goodwill for 3 bucks, i will only use them and the SCSI zipdrive until i can find more DD disks, i know someone on here had some for sale but i cant remember who... ill figure that out once ive got my drive problem dealt with...

I got 100 for $20 off of ebay, and I got 50 for a friend for $12.

There are plenty, unused still unwrapped around.
