hi guys...

i need to make this really quick sequence...but i'm not sure how to do this certain thing i wanna do.

my tempo is 114.6

now...i have two sounds that need to be in this sequence.
my first sound is the intro to the song which is exactly 1.01.00-3.03.00.

now...here's where i'm stuck:
the second sound should be from 3.03.00-4.03.00.
how do i make it so that i can loop the SECOND sound as many times as i want.

basically, i want the intro piece to play, then the second piece RIGHT AFTER IT but to loop (for whatever length of time i set it to).

what's the easiest way to do this?

if we can AIM each other...that'd be so much easier.

thanx a lot,
-chris

personally, i'd make two sequences
one for the intro
another for the actual beat

or you could go to EDIT>BARS and then select the last bar, and make however many copies of it you want to go afterwards

I'd go for the two different sequences option. You've chosen a slightly awkward length for your intro sample - 2.5 bars if you are in 4/4 time.
I'm drawing this out in Logic but I think it will work:

Sequence 1 should be 2 bars long. Set the Tsig of either the first or second bar to 6/4 rather than 4/4, or set both to 5/4. Either way that should make that 2 bar sequence the full length of your intro sample.

Your second sample is 1 bar long even though it is cut from the mid point of two bars from whatever the original source is, so you'll have no probelm getting that to loop in a standard 4/4 bar.

An alternative with the first sequence is to keep the Tsig at 4/4 but have it 3 bars long & have the sample triggered at 1.03.00. This will only work if you don't need to loop that intro sample because you have half a bar of silence at the start of the sequence.

You could also do this with a 4 bar sequence at 4/4. Have the intro sample triggered at 1.03.00 & the second sample at 4.01.00. Have Loop ON but set to only loop the last bar. That way you can just press start & leave it. You still have the half bar silence at the very start. If you don't want that have a 3 bar sequence with the first two bars set like my very first example & with only bar 3 (which will stay at 4/4) looping.

did you even calculate the actual tempo of the sample? it's awkward for it to end at those times....
