I'm a little embarassed writing this thread. I have no previous experience with MPCs...
Today arrived my MPC1000 (new pads) and I notice that I have to hit pads with strenght to activate them. Sounds stupid...
But before today I tought they were more "soft" in the response... with an assured and quick response also if hitted with a less of strenght.
Like a semi-weighted keyboard for example (yea, I'm a keyboardist).
Now if I hit the pad heavy (it's impossible to explain here HOW MUCH, surely more than i tought
) there is a good sound but if I reduce that strenght I experience annoying things for example the sample starts and stops immediately... or it starts 2 times very close. Or if I play hithats, one sounds and another not...
In the limits of what is possibile to understand here, is it normal? Maybe another man who used to trigger with a keyboard could say me it's very different the pressure on mpc... and this is an habit matter.
Now I'm a little cofused
