Thoughts on iphone's Beatmaker?

Sure it works that way. I would assume that if I can export .wav I can drop of in my DAW, shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah just checked more into it and you need the program beat pack to export your tracks onto your computer and then put them into your DAW.

There's a way you can do it track by tracks also.

Cool man, I'm not sure how doing it track by track is going to work, I'm thinking that you'll mute the pads that you don't want to sound and then export. I'm going to look more into that as well.

Someone said something about exporting it as a MIDI track and that way you do it track by track and further edit it in your DAW

So you're telling me that with this little thing you can sample, chop, sequence, and export?!?! pfft phuk that im sold. To hell with the synth an shit for now. I cant even count how many times im at work takin a sh!t or workin and just come up with a inspirational beat or somethin. I usually beatbox it and record it with my phone and try to recreated when i get home. I need this thing hands down.

I've been using it for 2 days now and it's insanely awesome!! It's a must have, no question.

Beatmaker is full on fantastic. there's only one issue i have with it and it's a big one: as of yet there are no pad banks, so you are only dealing with 16 samples at a time.

once this program has more banks, it's On.

for anyone who's not tried Beatmaker first hand: reserve your judgement. the game is changing.

I been telling cats about this for a minute. A lot of heads just roll their eyes and talk sh*t because it doesnt seem practical. Only the actual users can cosign the dopeness of this app. And again for $20.....seriously

Here's what I think about that....

If you can make software to mimic an MPC on a phone why can't they do that with a computer. For example, the MAC has MPC PAD 187, but why can't they take that one step further and let it record sequences?

That would be dope.

I bought it and have done everything to get samples on it and cannot. Also, it completely shuts down in the middle of making beats and you lose everything. The latest updates haven't helped except taking up more memory in the iPhone an collapsing it even more. Also, when making beats the latency is horrible so you have to edit everything by hand in the sequencer anyways.

SP-404 with batteries, or MPC500 with batteries. There is your portable beat machine.

I actually want my damn money back from Intua.
