I just bought an iomega zip drive without the power supply. Does anybody know what kind of power supply the zip drive takes so I can get one for it?

Probably much too expensive.

The external Iomega ZIPs need a 5V - 1000mA DC supply. That's actually even printed on the back of them usually. Take care that the supply is actually rated for the 1000mA current.

Yeah much too expensive for a power adapter. Thanks for the info guys.

Though it's a link to their store, it was mainly for reference only. Usually getting replacement parts are more expensive coming straight from the manufacturer.

I'm sure a replacement can be found much cheaper elsewhere.
