I HATE TURNING ON MY MPC 500 AND HAVING THAT WACK ASS SEQUENCE (YALL KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT) AND ALL OF ITS ASSINGED PADS ON. I WANT TO START A PROJECT WITH ALL OF MY PADS EMPTY AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT I WANT TO GET RID OF ANY BULLSHIT I DID NOT MAKE ON THERE. IS THERE A WAY?

Hey. took me awhile to figure this out too. i dont know if this is what u mean...but if u press the "Mode" button then pad 2 to get to the load section... u scroll all the way over and it will say "autoload" just switch it from on to off. now when u turn the MPC on no sounds will be there and yul start off with a blank sequence for u to load whatever u want onto. hope this helps.

also, i think if you go to LOAD, and when you are loading up samples theres some sort of CLEAR ALL, or REPLACE SAME type of option that comes up... if you change it to YES than what you load will replace that noise

Another problem i have sometimes is, at times if im programming a joint on my machine i will assign a sample 2 a pad and next thing you know 2 other pads have that same sample and i didnt even touch them. Its really frustrating. Im glad this forum exists.
