Nice setup. I'm always interested in seeing how people use their MPCs. You and I treat it as two different machines, and I like seeing the versatility of it in action. Even though it's a different style than mine, it's obvious you learned how to turn the little rascal into a beast too. Good sounds.

I enjoyed that. Glad to see people using the MPC in different ways other than just pounding out your traditional boom-bap Hip-Hop beats. It really gets to the core of what I appreciate about it too: being able to actualize whatever ideas you have in your head.

cheers guys. The great thing about the 500 is that since its a sampler i can sample phrases of my studio tracks and using mutes can effectively remix my tracks on the fly, essentially fitting my studio into that one little box and doing the acid part live. I used it live like this at a gig recently and it was so much fun, more fun that djing even (which ive done for almost 20 years now)

Yo' I like that, reminds me of old Hardfloor stuff.
I was flicking through the MPC-500 forum as I like the looks of the 500 and it takes batteries which I think is cool. Any way I use a 2000XL and a few synths
Check my acid tune out, the TB-303 line kicks in a little later and I can't afford an x0x box lol http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=WrWDW-Du-s8

phono, welcome to the forums. good to have you here. i'm on the x0xb0x forums posting under the name resonator.
there's a handful of us mpc users over there. the mpc and the x0xb0x have always been an awesome combo for me since i built mine 2 years ago.
i own an mpc1000. but i still check this forum for any interesting topics like this one (as well as moderating when i have the time).
i just recently moved. so the wireless network out here is weak. but i got to see a bit of the first video. that oldschool 808 style sounds awesome. i still like using all those classic kits with my mpc. :D

yeah it's good that limor made you and a few others moderators there. the x0xb0x got so popular over the past few years, that the forums definitely needed some cleaning up. i'm usually there from time to time, keeping up with whatever's good... especially the SokkOs, which i still need to update.

i remember you on myspace as 2Cv, as well as many other x0x users. yeah i'm the same resonator you got on your firends list. other people have used that name for their bands. but they havent been around as long as i have. hahaha.
we should start a myspace group for x0xb0x users (if there isn't one already). that way it would be easier for all of us to check out each other's music and whatever else is good.
