It would be great to have a good beat repeat, more than the bar loop.

There would be some beat repeat parameters to change in a special window (the parameters could be quantization of the loop, pitch down or up of the repetitions, same with the filters...)

And also a launcher and controls of the beat repeat with the F knobs in the "next sequence" and "track mute" windows.

Perhaps I am asking to much, but I want to believe!!!

Filters on main output as i like to add a little extra LP on entire track when tracking out. I usually add a little more in my DAW once finished tracking.

It may seem like I'm nit-picking, but this annoys me every time I turn on my MPC.

In both Record Mode, and the "Input setups" screen for the audio tracks, the mono/stereo input options go in this order: Left, Right, Stereo. Then for some reason the order is reversed on the Input Thru screen! Annoying, especially since their is also a lag when changing this field.

BTW, I'm using JJ OS4.99. Someone let me know if this has already been changed in a newer version.

Volume mutes so that you have the same live flexibility with audio as with midi.
In this way you could make great variations on melodies that would take a lot of work doing it manually in the editing screen.

The volume mute could be activated in the track mute screen by holding for example the shift key while pressing a pad. Pressing the pad without holding the shift will do normal mute/unmute. Also a hold for that shift off course to have volume mute available all the time if you want to use it on multiple pads at the same time.

In this way you can be so creative and also can solve mute mistakes on the fly during a live set, You know like throwing the wrong sound in your mix and have to wait until the sample ends. A volume mute kills it when you want.

I'd like to see a customizable metronome count.

Few months ago, I did a 9/8 beat and that killed me having to wait 9 counts each time.

i would like to be able to record a midi track with my keyboard
so that it would not stop samples that are playing on other tracks.
and i would like be able to use my oxygen 8 v2 with my mpc
(it doesnt work at all)
i don´t know if this post belongs to

These functions would be very nice:

Main Window: Direct (one button) jump between Pgm-field and Seq-field. Often needed to quickly jump between these.

Save one single Sequence with programs and samples included.

Delete orphan programs/samples (programs not used in any sequence).

Button for step increment in Grid edit/midi.

Map midi in (midifile or external) to specified pad, like JJ OS 1.

just sent this to JJ:

this is a requested change to the current Q-LINK function in OS 2XL.

**ISSUE 1**
currently, in both SLIDER & MAIN screen:
when you assign a function to a Q-LINK ( by changing the value with the DATA wheel )
the function becomes *immediately* active & the AFTER button becomes lit.

this is a problem when a sequence is playing.
in scrolling thru the various options, values may change and get set in a wrong manner as you scroll to the value you want.

REQUEST:
when changing values, the function should NOT become active until a user decides ( the user presses the AFTER button ).
this will allow time for the user to choose a selection & set the Q-LINK slider position.
when the user has set it properly - then he can press AFTER and engage the function.
( this will apply both to SLIDER and MAIN screen )

**ISSUE 2**
currently, in the MAIN screen:
when the AFTER button is OFF, the Q-LINK display shows OFF even if a value is set.
only when the AFTER button is pressed does the Q-LINK display show the value.

this is a problem for remembering what value is set.
it is good to know what will happen BEFORE you press the AFTER button.
it is also good to be able to set the Q-LINK slider position properly before engaging the function.

REQUEST:
in the MAIN screen, the Q-LINK display should ALWAYS shows the selected value, even when the AFTER button is not set.
this is the same behavior as in the SLIDER screen.

When I bought mpc I haven't read the manual first nor the forums, but I was almost sure it has a step shifter, I mean if you have ie 2bars 32 16th steps and you can set instantly (with q-links) where it starts and where it ends and it's always on the beat/ with extraorinary setings you break the pattern, or even reverse it.
We have a pattern editng now.

I noticed that the mpc1000 read wav files only, while the 2000xl also can load up s3000 files.
I think it would be awesome if the 1k could do that too.
Say if u have sampled something with the s3000 which has an external cf card reader, swap the cf card to the 1k, chop it up in JJ chopshop style, save the damn thing and open the chopped samples in the s3k again.
Without sampling stuff back and forth.
I mean, the 2000xl has this as a basic spec, s1000 and s3000 compatible. Or is this also a hardware issue?
Anyway, s3000's are still used in any type of studio, so it would also make the 1k more powerful as a complete studio piece of hardware.
