sooty - appropriate issues outlined here, but i wonder if the overall post to JJ might seem a bit too in depth and confusing....

..and i was trying to keep it simple. :lol:

yeah. maybe in the future i need to strip it down even more. i was trying to cover all the bases so that JJ could see all the different ways it could be a problem and would be more likely to act on it.

either way, murai said he forwarded my request to JJ so we'll see what he does about it.

tho for now i'm back on OS 2. i was missing all the q-link automation too much. :(

Shift internal clock realative to external MIDI clock. (and or MTC)

With postive and NEGATIV amount to compensate differences in MIDI timings of other gear like Laptops etc.

Should be realy easy to implement...;-)
I remember the SCI Studio 440 had this nice feature....

All the best for 2009!

some more nice stuff i would like to see in future OS XL updates:

Velocity to Filter Cutoff...

ARPeggio:

use Linepatterns/Chords for arpeggios!
+
Classic ARP features like:
-> UP,DOWN
-> UP&DOWN
-> Spiral IN/OUT
-> +/- 1,2,3 Octaves
-> Keys/Pads press order Forward/Reverse
-> Random

Grid Edit MODE:
Select Multiple Notes and Transpose UP/Down and Shift Left Right with the Pads or the Cursor Keys...
A kind of "Drag and Drop" Mode....or shift and transpose buy hitting pads mode....

Main Screen or Quantize Screen:
in addition to the Quantize funktion a force to scale "Pitch Quantize" feature...
A list of predefined scales for example: c_minor-harmonic shift down...(shifts notes not in scale(harmonic minor) a halftone down) etc... would be realy great

all the best

Please have option for chord and arpeggio modes to follow note repeat/time correct value

Problem with sustain pedal (CC #64). OSJJ 1 - 4.99.

1) I press a MIDI keyboard note down (a looped note)
2) It sounds
3) I press the "sustain pedal" down
4) I release the keyboard note
5) The sounds is still ON : OKAY
6) I release the "sustain pedal" (up)
7) Sounds is still ON : BAD :((((( Why is it so ?

I tried YES and NO [MODE][PAD 10][MISC][SUSTAIN PEDAL...]
but it is the same !

would be great!
thx
Kingkaos

JJ had that in OS1, as was in AKAI OS.

miss it in os 2, but now i use the chop instead, and/or the qlink to start time, shame theres no option for velocity to start time, so we can free up a qlink again.

the use of velocity is much more musical then the use of a slider...
it is not about features but velocity to samplestart could make your samples much
more expressive and dynamic and less static...

so i prefer to use velocity... it should be reimplemented in OS 2 or 2XL
i like all of the new features in OS2XL but velocity to samplestart is a MUST
for a sampling drum maschine...also

-> velocity to fine pitch (+-25cent) would be great
and
-> velocity to Envelope DPTH (amount) too...

Quantize sudden in sequence window.
So the changing of sequences would be more precise with the beat.

i completely agree

yup! - and it was there in OS1 - but JJ opted to remove it

this would be nice, funny cos in OS1, velocity was mapped to env

u should have seen the complaints JJ received from us all when they removed velocity to s/start, and env - OS2.....

but, did u ever use OS1? just curious.

request - Any OS, 1,2,or XL. (my choice would be OS2)

Slider Mode "center offset", "zero offset"

in Mode+Pad1/Slider page,

instead of sliders allways having 0/zero at their centre position, (eg: filter can only ever be -50/+50 or less - zero being at the center),

an offset value could be added to set the center to be any value 0-100 (giving us the ability to get say 100 at centre),
as long as the entire range spans the possible min/max, i'd like to be able to put 'zero'/'min' anywhere, or '100'/'max' anywhere.

as long as the values when moved beyond that point don't go above max /below min, i dont see why this couldnt be implemented, a simple calculation in the OS would take place....so the page would be like:-

"Q1:realtime : cutoff : 0 +100 +100 > track "

above eg: filter cut off range would be 0-100, with slider at min gives value=0, and slider at centre gives value=100.....(all values above remain at theoretical max eg:100). and any and all variations on this would be saved in slider/qlink, respective to the track or program as usual.

or:-

"Q1:realtime : tune : -120 +110 +120 > track"

above eg: the slider at min gives the full octave down in pitch, centre gives eleven semitones up, max gives whole octave up.

OS2, or XL

LFO : the aftertouch should be able to control not just the added pitch from LFO but a choice of a few destinations.

Aftertouch>Pitch:
Aftertouch>Filter:
Aftertouch>Level:
Aftertouch>Rate (lfo):

as i suspect its a long shot though- since the LFO details look like they're specified as a note event occurs, so say rate would only be varied at each note on.....pretty poor.

but this leads me to ask - in the latest OS2, how does aftertouch depth on lfo pitch work as its modified in realtime when aftertouch data is played live or off a sequence...therefore why cant the other types of changes be offered as an option?

indeed , why not ask for a realtime lfo, that runs free of the note ons, while im here.
