Deloading the mpc

Can I ''deload'' the mpc, in another way than restarting it.

I would like to work on a song, then save it, then refresh/deload the mpc before loading another song.

Is it possible?

I cheat, I only use one or two sequences, with tons of samples loaded, and then dump 16 bars of each track to Pro Fools,

Then I delete the sequences and keep rockin cause I have so many samples loaded, maybe add/replace as needed.

I don't even use the 8 out or adat out, I use the mains.

Even when I've had em I never used em.

I don't want anything digital until it hits the studio's converters.

I sync it via MIDI with Pro Tools so when I start record it starts the MPC.

I just use track mute and use only one track at a time.

I just dump 16 bars in, then stop PT, arm the next track, select the next MPC track, record 16, and so one.

I don't mix or arrange in the MPC, I just make sure the track level coming in to PT is nice and loud. Usually I don't like it over -4 or -6

Control the level with the main out on the MPC, and the level for that channel on your PT interface if needed.

The process of dumping the beat to PT, quickly setting PT levels, and arranging the beat, usually only takes about 10 or 15 minutes, so it seems super productive to me.

Then it's off to fine tuning, processing dynamics and effects, and so on...... that's always dependnt on the individual beat as far as how long it takes.

This way I have everything tracked out, didn't waste any time selecting what channel out on the MPC for each track, didn't eat up 8 channels of interface, which I have all 40 patched anyway, but that adds signal loss when done unnecessarily, and if you guys haven't noticed the 8 out analouge cards on the MPC's are noisy, at least on the 2000XL and 4000, they bleed a little, and when all are used they get a little noisy. (Maybe not noticable to most but it's true.)

Maybe not the best way for you, but I have 2 channels coming off the 4K, RS7000, Motif Rack, Mo Phatt, Proteus 2K, and Fantom X6, AT MINIMUM that's what's always stabbed in so we're talking 12 channels right there. I'd rather not patch any of em. I much prefer to have each one Isolated to L & R only.

that's just me I guess. Not saying it's the right way for anyone else.
