which is the best os from akai?

1.23 in my opinion!

can I get 1.23 anywhere? My MPC still has 1.22 and need to update. Has anyone used a CF card with different updates on it.Loading them in the load page,cause I cant find my original card

I know this is a beaten horse, but if I were you, I'd use the free JJOS instead. The better organization of the save/load screen alone is worth the switch. You'll lose 3MB of sample RAM but it's nothing if you have the EXM. The only thing you really have to worry about with the JJOS is the immediate void of your warranty. Still something to consider.

I havent yet looked in to the JJ stuff but will .Would maybe buy the JJ update but I would like a paper manual if there is much difference in the operating

Just reinstall the Akai OS before shipping it out to them.
Plus its rare for an MPC to just brake down and stop working unless you just dont take care of your sh1t.

VST Service doesnt charge that much either if you need a fix.

Hmmm! I thought they could somehow can still tell? Because the MPC never completely erases the JJOS. Even if you reinstall the Akai OS, the MPC still remembers the JJOS password, so it has to be some trace of JJ left on it, right? And with the popularity of the JJOS, I would bet for sure they are checking for that shyt, if they can.

so which one of you guys telling a truth here? my only issue of not installing jj is the fact that the sampler is still under a warranty, and somebody told me that previously installed jj os still can be detected,tho im not 100% sure about it

I've had my Mpc for just over a year so I think I,m out of warrenty.I'm using 1.22 and have suffered from the save / file not found,and had it jam when trying to load a couple of times and there is now some glitch in the screen.Does any one know if these are gone in 1.23 ?

Yes! But the question is can they still tell JJ was installed even if you re-loaded the Akai OS.

Either way I think that if you brake your MPC in a year you are RETARDED. Its a well built machine and I dont see why it would have defects or minor tear and wear issues in a year.

Either way its not like the warranty covers accidental or any serious shit like your screen braking or the MPC falling off your desk or something.
