SMPTE Syncing

Hey there,
I just got a problem I cannot figure out even after reading the manual twice.
I recorded a SMPTE track on Cubase (I dont have a midi device...) but when I play it the mpc plays shit -> not timing at all. it seems like it catches some points but its far away of rhythm.

Can anybody tell me what Im doing wrong?
- I started the smptegenerator and tried to push the input lvl in cubase on -3dB like the manual says it.
- then I recorded the signal for about 20 seconds
- I adjusted my mpc to smpte sync and 25 F/second

I tried it with FSK24 too this works a little bit better but in general not good at all.

Can be closed... I just found out that there is a SMPTEGen Plugin for Cubase... this works fine

I got the next problem ... I want to sync the MPC to my computer so I can add some details to the drums of my song. Is there a possibility which allows me to click the play button on my mpc anywhere in the big(converted song) sequence and then the audio track from my computer plays simultanously the same part .. the part which comes at that moment of time?

Ah I forgot to say that I dont have a MIDI Device ... I am searching for sth like SMPTE or so.
It would be very gentle if anybody can help me

I've never synced my 60 to my computer with SMPTE, but my homie does with Cubase all the time.

That SMPTE track needs to be longer than 25 seconds right? At least long enough to cover the song I thought??

Because Cubase and the 60 have different PPQ(Parts Per Quarter) so they won't stay synced for long if left alone. Or, could I be wrong?
