RAM problem. Screen Goes Blank

I just received a 256mb RAM card thing today from Ebay. i bought it based on the same specifiacations that many people had posted on that sticky about RAM recommendations. Its an Infineon 256MB PC133 SODIMM LAPTOP MEMORY RAM SDRAM CL3. Heres a link to the auction:

When i loaded it in and then turned on the MPC, and first thing that always shows up that says "MPC500 Startup" started to blink on and off. then it was blinking very fast and then the letters started to disappear one by one until the screen just went totally blank. Someone wrote in that huge sticky "I REPEAT FOR THOSE WHO ARE ILLITERATE U NEED PC 133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB (ANY BRAND!)" i got just that and it didnt work. i followed the installation guide from a video on youtube plus the RAM is pretty much idiot proof to install. i cant get a refund on it...but i dont mind buying another one if someone can give me a link to an ebay auction with one that they currently are using in their 500.

I've had a similar problem locating somewhere to buy the ram for the mpc.

I just bought some samsung ram from here. It works absolutely fine. £10

thanks. im gunna keep looking i guess. i didnt wanna have to spend 30 more dollars for somethin else for the mpc. plus i thought you needed to buy 256mb of RAM because the MPC only reads half of what you put in or somethin. if anyone has bought any generic cheap RAM that works for them let me know. thanks again

man $30 bux aint that bad of a investment and it reads all of the 128mb... it's a kingston memory card, good stuff... but goodluck anyway
