when you trim your sound

aiight so im editing this sample, but realize the peice im about to discard actually sound kinda cool if i sped it up or whateva, so i discover the new sound function ( i love this f*ckin machine) but is there any way to assign that new sound to a pad? nearly tore my hair out last nite couldnt figure it, cuz i cud only hear it in the trim screen.......??

err... The program mode perhaps?

SHIFT + PROGRAM, then DRUM 1 gets you to the assign window. Just hit the pad you want to assign it to and roll the jog wheel to find the name of the sound...

If you've never used the assign mode then you probably have never flowers with the Params either.... you know , filters and stuff?
Sheesh, you really need to sit down with the manual and check out what your machine is capable of....

Altough it is fun to learn new stuff by accident

But isn't the only way to the params screen through the assign screen? Didn't the name ASSIGN ever ring a bell?

whats up fellas, it dischoe(disco) my problems start when I have to assign sounds to the pads, what happens is I name my bass drum, assign it to a pad go back to the trim screen to grab the snare try to assing it (or I think im doin it rite) but I wind up with my snare over my bass drum..........so what I have been doing is starting the record over and starting from scratch, time consuming but it works, is there a way to get to that assign screen thanks fellas

are you making a copy and then grabbing the snare from that?
