Just curious.
Is there a way to streamline my folders on my mpc?
For example--if I where to purchase a hardrive--can I setup specific folders (i.e. drums/pads/bass/snare/etc.) and then when I go to program select for a specific pad--just open up a folder and find the sound I want???

ya I am pretty organized with my stuff.
I'm just curious though if when your selecting a sound-can you select folder--->sound?

how would I do that?
Just create a folder named ___ then save the files as .wav etc.??
Would my macbook pro recognize the usb?

just like that and the mac should not have any probs. then in the save process, you should give every project its own folder and save all related files to that folder. that way your work stays seperated and loads fine.

cool
so I don't need any 3rd party software for loading sounds/.wavs onto the mpc (or transfering to mac)?

Depends on what MPC you have, if its USB cabable you can drag and drop all your folders from your computer to the MP.. If you want you can have folders w/ folders inside of them for more organization, but you will need to have JJOS loaded in order to browse folders and subfolders.

This is an Mpc 1000 thread ,so I don't see how your mpc wouldn't have USB.

And no , You CAN set up and browse folders in all os's.......You don't need the JJ....Even tho its suggested .
