Mpc 2000xl wont stay in mode!

My mpc 2000 xl is new to me and for some reason has problems staying in mode...it will be in trim or sample,etc. and jump to the main screen. can this be easily fixed? Also...the pad mute won't work... it press the button which brings up the mute screen but it reads as though there are no sounds assigned to the pads! HELP!

You either got a OS problem or your motherboard is ****.

I would say about 1/2 the price of used one. So like $300 maybe.

That's probably only the "Main Screen" button going out.

You mean Track Mute? Have you actually tried it? Did you rename the Tracks that are assigned to the Pads? If not they will of course look like in an empty project.
