FULL OSXL support - OS1 and OS2 no longer sold

you all overestimate my sway. i'm a beta tester, not a books keeper or accountant. i don't even answer the phones. for every one time the development team has listened/implemented my requests or suggestions, there have been two times when they have not. i don't get bitter, that's just the way it is. that's the way it is with jjos, reaper, midisense, poise and any of the software i've beta tested.

so when i make a suggestion, report or comment, it's so that i have a better environment to work in. for example, i have never once reported a bug in pattern mode, because i don't use it. and me? i use os2xl. this is the os that i want to see developed. last year i said the same sh!t about os1, and caught the same damn flak about it. EXACT same thing.

i'm here for my own selfish reasons. some of you are cool as sh!t, but i'm in it for me. if i've helped anyone else along the way, that's great.

i am a beta tester because i report bugs i find while i work on my own projects
if there's something i don't use, odds are i'll never come in contact with that bug. that's why having only one--or a few--beta testers is a bad idea.

if you've reported a bug, you've beta tested. this isn't some secret club. the bug report section is right there on the main page.

The goal of a decent beta tester(one who is getting a free piece of gear or software out of the deal, anyway)is to put an OS or piece of gear through it's paces and find as many problems as possible.

By your logic anyone who's ever used any version of JJOS should get it for free.

i'm a musician, man...i make beats. that's the only reason i'm doing this. if i were to die tomorrow i'd rather be remembered for my beats than bugs splattered on my windshield. if i'm not a good beta tester by that definition, then i'm not losing any sleep over it. i'm not keeping count, but i'd be surprised if anyone's reported more bugs than i have in the process of working on my own music.

MPC into which the password of OS1 and OS2 is entered can use the save mode of all the JJ OS (OS1, OS2, XL). (The password of XL is unnecessary.)

os2xl appears to be free if you already have os2.

so Northern Elite,

I have the latest registered versions of both OS1 and OS2 already installed on the 25K- does that mean I can install (and save) using XL without the need to buy a password.

yes, that's what the text says. if you have os2 already, you've already purchased 2xl.

That's just it. Many on here don't have OS1 or OS2 already and would take them over OS2XL any day.

Thanks for the reply - I guess I'll check XL out at the weekend if it's posted by then - I'm happy with my 5K, but gotta take a look at XL to see what the fuss is about.
