Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

Either way I think that if you brake your MPC in a year you are RETARDED. Its a well built machine and I dont see why it would have defects or minor tear and wear issues in a year.

Either way its not like the warranty covers accidental or any serious **** like your screen braking or the MPC falling off your desk or something.

im quite paranoid about these things and always considering that there can happen something shittty with your gear, as for example, i've seen that people having a problems with their pads, when you press one it triggers other,so if that would occur with mine machine and its still under warranty, i wanna make sure that its been replaced or whatever digital village ( gear retailers in uk) can offer me.. tho in the same time, i might need to stop being so paranoid and make some more beats, hah

P.S.
very tempted to try might jjos out

Lucky for me, I have the extended warranty from Guitar Center which exceeds Akai's warranty! So I installed JJ and never looked back!

If I had to go with an Akai OS it would definitely be 1.23

DJ Hellfire wrote:I know this is a beaten horse, but if I were you, I'd use the free JJOS instead. The better organization of the save/load screen alone is worth the switch. You'll lose 3MB of sample RAM but it's nothing if you have the EXM. The only thing you really have to worry about with the JJOS is the immediate void of your warranty. Still something to consider.

Without a doubt the free JJOS(3.08) blows any Akai OS out the water,...It took me over a year to finally give in and try the JJOS and now that I have I'll never go back to the Akai OS.Do yourself a favor and cop the free JJOS. :D

Copy the os flash file on the card and then load it on the mpc through load mode.

Yeah, this is the way to do it. Go to the load screen and load the OS bin file......make sure you put the OS file to the root of the CF card. :D
