REAL TALK... I mean i make music for tha pure enjoyment of it. aka FUN instead of bein judged!
If i come across a digg that i recognize and has already been sampled
( either from Pete Rock, K-Def, Dilla or any fellow MP forum cats)
it don't matter. I almost always feel obligated to see what kinda spin i can flip on it!
cause ima use different drums different chops different filters ect.
in tha end it may not be as hot as tha others but its a learning process to get better wit each beat i make.
Make Muse for your self and anyone else who cares to enjoy. forget tha haters cause all it is jealousy!
drop beats not bombs make art not war.

by all means dig cause u enjoy it or to build ur collection or cos you wanna find good music to listen or sample but be under no illusions.

most good shit has been heard and flipped peeps have been diggin since the late 80's that includes international shit.

yes u may find a records that many peeps aint use cos maybe ur taste is different, but realistically more then one copy was pressed up so someone else heard it if they aint use it they thought it was wack or they had a different ear to u.

bottom line is ur ear and how u flip shit and put it 2gether, rareness is a bonus but bottom line is how dope shit comes out.

point to be made is diggin looking for rareness is a losing game as big budget producers with connection with record dealers have access to shit that dont even make it to the shope and shit that is beyond ur diggin budget.

so may as well enjoy the music u like and make the best shit u can with whatever sounds are available to u.

I got records that every producer and their mother flipped, but there's always about 3 to 7 seconds of material that hasn't been devirginized yet. I also buy records online from Germany, England, or Japan to find artists that never got to the U.S. of A. The world of vinyl records is a huge place and its impossible to have every record.

thats wassup like there might be a different section of a track that has been sampled that u can sample and u can drop the sample over beats in a different way or combine it with sound from different records, so smaple flipping is endless cos u can keep recyling.

so it dont matter if a record has been used find shit u think is dope then flip it done deal, we all know madlib, diamond, buckwild, pete rock and dudes that ilk travel global to get records and they have record dealers that hold shit for them and send it to em in the US.

certainly no one can have every records but the romantic notion someone digging in the dollar bin in a records shop will find some shit that big name producers dealer have neva seen is nonsense the reason it ended up in the dollar bin is because it was discarded and deemed low value. but thats not to say u can chop notes and make a dope beat from it.

point is the primary reason for diggin should not at this stage be to find something that no one has it should be to find good shit that u like be it on-line or in a shop same thing, as long as u vibe with the msuic and it inspires u to sample and make something with it then its good.

Seriously man, GET DA F*CK OUT OF HERE. You need to check yourself because all you're BS is really lame.
Contrary to what you believe not everybody out there buys records for samples. A vast majority of the records I buy are for my enjoyment and NOT to sample from. If something' s been used I just DON'T CARE cuz I'm interested in the MUSIC!
Who the f*ck is that guy in the video, who appointed him as a record connaisseur. I can name over a hundred records nobody has touched and that cat probably doesn't dig deep enough to know anything outside of his Motown & Stax records.
WAKE THE F*CK UP!

If there was any Supreme whose opinion I would respect
about digging, it would be this one:

Image

jpeg, if you aren't a digger, and got better things to spend your money on,
cool...
Just stop coming in this section acting like everything is already found
and trying to convince those who have love for this that you are right...

Because you are not.

"Digging is a waste of cash...I don't dig"

"I can't find albums that haven't been sampled...WHAAHH"

Problem, meet solution.

Even if EVERY record has been sampled (not true), you think every second of every song on those records has been sampled every imaginable way? Get that shit outta here.
