Plus the reasons for getting an MPC 5000 has just been increased:

Looks like they are covering some demanded stuff with that.. lets hope it brings the 5k where it should be. Let us know how the new OS works out for you... that is if you dont feel your 5k is good as is ... and you choose to install it.

Oh, and with 25 improvements and new features... I bet you are disapointed akai decided to NOT charge for the new OS, especially since they implemented user requested features.

Obviously you never understood the post. Akai never stated they would charge you for an OS. I always had confidence that Akai would deliver feature requests as indicated in the manual. I am talking about 3-5 years from now when there is an MPC 6000 and the MPC 5000 is discontinued. I would pay for further development of the OS. Akai doesn't owe you further development on any discontinued product....no company does that.

Are you serious? Where did you get that response? how did you invent that I thought akai stated that they would charge for an OS? I never once said that akai claimed that... We all know you want akai to charge for an OS that has new features and user recommendations since you even made a thread devoted to akai charging for exactly that, So taking that fact into consideration I said ---> " I bet you are disapointed akai decided to NOT charge for the new OS "......... never once said akai stated that they would charge for it... this has nothing to do with what AKAI say/said, it has to do with the other thread called " Should Akai charge a fee for future OS updates? "

Sometimes I get the feeling that you read every second word in a reply and re-invent the english language in your head or something.. I dont even know why you bother quoting a person to leave a reply because your posts are unrelated to the quoted.

To everyone else: It is worth checking out that link askia posted though, because this might put an end to the key groups arguement.

You ask me if I was disappointed that Akai didn't charge for an OS update. I responded that you didn't understand my thread because that was never the purpose of my thread which appears to left so many confused. I added that Akai never said they would charge for an OS update. Maybe I should have created another paragraph so not to confuse you.

But this is not about me and certainly not about you. This is about MPC 5000 users (as well as non-users) getting their most desired features...

...and it's clear Akai are listening...

It's great to see the 5K 'bug' and 'feature request' threads having a positive impact on the shape of the OS development.

A great testament to this forum and all those members who 'positively' contribute in the 5K threads.

The future looks bright 8)
