wont record slidermovements!

for midi cc# it records ok! but for a audio-drumtrack it just cant! i have choose the "record mixer changes" thingy.
and also.. were do i set a slider for volume if it`s not a miditrack?? only find velocity and that cant reach down to 0! only 1.. wich is **** annoying!! i have set the sliders for this track to - slider1 realtime tune..and it`s tuning fine.. but wont record!! slider2 velocity(dident find volume anywere!!) works.. byt i cant get it dead quiet becurse it`s lowest value seems to be 1! not zero!
help please..

im on jjos2! not XL! i read now about some slider fetures being strangled! shit..one of the cool things about mpc:s is the sliders! what was jj thinking????

JJOS2 works fine, u need to set the tune in the slider mode page, hit record tap some pads, move some slider*,

*beware in OS2, note on with Q1 overrides Q2 ( a stupid hardware akai limitation) so set realtime on Q1, and note on Q2. that way u can use 2 types of movement on any track, so set Q1 to realtime tune.

if its still not recording, u are either not moving the fader during record, or there is recorded material there previously, so the 'after' button needs to be active, to overwrite the previous slider settings recorded........but only use overdub record to preserve your other events in the sequence.

hey i see you have a BS3X.. me to, that makes me wonder if any of mpc parameters can be controlled from the bitstream?? track volume? pitch? anything at all?

i'll tell u what, its awesome for syncing my old 202/606 rolandsync to the mpc's midi clock, and for jamming analog acid/drums to the mpc audio tracks. with live mpc fx too.

but ive not bothered sending midi ctrls to the mpc, mbe too fiddly, mpc's arent even multi timbral via midi in. so its just one track at a time. my bitstreams' my 'front end' to my nordG2 engine & logic8

i guess you`re right, the fiddle i mean. so what do you do with the velocity thing a mentioned.. i mean that the lowest value to set the slider on velocity is 1.. not quiet..wich is zero, no volume track slider?

explain a little more, exactly what u want from a slider in each different case.

like the velocity, what's your aim to do with the slider/velocity, because mbe it could be done differently, to free up the sliders for other functions.

i want to control the volume of a track with the slider.. fade in-out.. and the tune/pitch.

re: volume track mixer......

in mode+pad8 "mixer", hit the pad to control, then move the slider2 for level, slider1 for pan, both are recordable,
go to F4"setup", + "window" and select "record mix changes : yes", for recording of any track/pad mix movements.

thats a pad mixer, and can be switched to a track mixer in GPE (out/fx column - "F6") select the column that says "MIXR",
then turn the data wheel, switching the program to use the levels at per-track values (track mix mode), not per-pad values (pad mix mode).

then go to mode+pad4 " " to enable/disable track/prg mix mode for each track, explore this screen a lot, with the cursor in different regions, its got a lot of flexibility...

wow.. this is news to me.. were is this documented? have read the online manual but there is no info on this there!
