Help a bro out

Bought myself a 500 t'other day and have run into a spot of bother.

Basically i want to know how to loop a basic drum beat for more than the default 2 bars, im having real issues and its a bit of a stumbling block.
I want to have that drum beat looping over and over for say 20 or 30 bars, and so then I can add to the track as it plays...
any help at all would be much appreciated

theres several ways to do that, all in the manual.
track mute, song mode, change length of sequence, probably more.
