I have my Motif hooked up to Cubase using a USB connection. All is well, they work together fluidly and over the past 6 months I have been able to edit and sequence how and what I want. A new piece of equipment has been added and I have been struggling on how to incorporate it into my set up.
I have just bought an MPC2500. I bought a USB to MIDI cable converter to hook the MPC up to Cubase using that but it will not recognise the MPC. So then I hooked the MPC up to cubase using midid cables running through my Audio Interface (M Audion Fast Track Ultra). I now get a midi signal and sound, but cannot record in cubase.
I'm just at a bit of a loss on how to get these things playing happily together, Im also confused on what would be the best way to have them set up for ease of use as people are saying use the MPC MidiTimeCode but make Cubase master....
If anyone has any idea's about what the best way to set this up I appreciate it..
