That's it, it's time to give this baby what it deserves. I'm officially in love with my MPC1K. I'm getting rid of these tacky stock side panels, and slapping on some real wood. I imagine buying your woman a boob job feels something like this.

Needlewerk.com seems to be out of order, since he hasn't responded to my emails. So it looks like I'm buying a set from MPCstuff.com. Can anyone review the panels? How solid do they fit? What color stain do you like for a black MP with black pads?

what fake and bloated looking? and then if not done right it will "feel" like a deflated gel filled water balloon?

go luck with the wood sides make it all "vintage" looking.

i made my panels myself though. and they are more than twice as thick as the stock ones. very solid though. cant comment on the nw or mpcstuff ones though. what i can sy is this. the mill work you have to do to the inside to make them fit leaves the wood pretty thin in some spots. not bad for plastic because its flexible and resilient. but wood not so much. i intentionally made mine wider because i wanted the mpc to feel bigger. but noticed this after and was glad i decided to go bigger.

Yep, this is one of the photos that got me thinking about going wood! The added width definitely works, but I'm not going to be building my own panels. Can anyone comment about the Needlewerk/MPCStuff wood panels? I'm curious about durability, since Lunaticbastard wrote they might be "thin in some spots..."
