my lil turn table adventure

ok so..im kinda mad right now..ok
so i bought a ion audio ttusb for 120 new with software...this was my firsst table mind u i do all my chopping and sampling in software then to the mpd pads they go ha but anywy i get it hook it up haha not a table with alot of of features i say to myself but good enough for sampling...
then i couldnt get levels for shit..was all quite even when pluged directly into my monitors ...soo i had to do some rerangein and **** around...ended up with this now i got the usb turntables rca cords runnin into my mackie board..then thru a 3630 compresser aux and then finaly into my audio interface for daw recording..now i have GREAT LEVELS and awsome sounding clean sounding samples....haha point of this rant

my dumbass bought a usb turntable im not to fond of just for the usb connection ...now i ended up not even touching the tables usb cord or port..hahah
im mad cuz the 120 i spent on this i coulda got a nice direct drive regular table ..i payed xtra for a feature i wont even use now

get a phono preamp or a dj mixer and the levels will be fine.

turntable plugs arent' line out so you need to boost them with a special circuit to sound good ie the above mentioned

Using your USB cable and Audacity should be just fine for sampling, and simple. I don't know where you went wrong but something isn't right. I had the same table before I got my sound card and I could make perfect samples with just the USB cable, the included cartridge isn't bad either. Another nice thing about that table is you don't need a pre amp at all. Just turn it over, flip the switch from phone to line and you can play the turntable on anything. I even tested it on my TV, plugged in the RCA's in the front and perfect sound out of the TV
