I've searched the topics here and even on other sites, and i cant find exactly what I'm looking for so maybe someone here can help.
i just got a Korg M3R rack, and a midi keyboard, i hooked everything up like it shows in the MPC 2000xl manual, as well as the M3R manual.
so my question is, should i be hearing sounds come out of the MPC or is it just there to sequence the M3R. Cuz right now i have to connect the M3R to the mixer as well to hear what i program on the MPC. If i record some synth into the MPC and then turn off the M3R should i still be able to hear the sequence i just recorded or do both machines need to be on.
I'm just curious if there is a way to get around this. For example i recorded a loop from the M3R and swithed sounds on the rack, and it also swithed on the MPC. So what if i want to use more than one sound??
I hope what I'm looking for makes some sense. I know there is a lot of knowledge on this website and maybe someone with a little more familiarity with Midi will be able to help me out.
Thanks a lot every one
