There are plenty of cds at your local Borders to sample from. You know what you like. My taste in samples could be wack to you and you'll still be starving for dope ass beats. My advice is to work hard at your craft and dig, dig, dig.

i'm not offended.. are you maybe? excuse me attacking your suggestion.. it's just a lame way to get samples, broke or not. even hitting a store, stealing their cds, ripping them and then sample that ish would be more creative than downloading sample-packs. in fact you could even use that as a story to sell your beats. you know... "made entirely with samples from stolen cds". or replace the store with 'a friends place' and stealing with 'borrowing' for a more easy way, or SOME shit.. but, the worst thing actually was the OP's question.

no, i guess i just picked on your reply because it is part of something that bothers me... it can't be personal, since i don't know you, at all. i found your answer lame and i thought it was contradicting your avatar.. (which has absolutely no effect on my special spiked, scaled, hater-proof 5-layers of shnorzmoplasmic ultraskin. hiphop doesn't suck, just the crap does). also not interested in having internet fights for no reason.. i admit i have kind of an evil grin when posting cause it's all not that serious and / butting heads is fun sometimes. ok when i say "your reply to the original post is part of something", i meant these posts that go like "where can i download the kick-drum that producer XYZ used on that lil' wayne beat?". instead of writing a tutorial with a nice smilie-face behind i'd rather say "why don't you go on youtube, look up beatmaking videos of 16 year old kids clicking boring "HEAT" into their parents computers, kinda like eating poop and pooping it out again, download wiretap or something and record the kicks they're using in the video! it'll sound like **** yeah." which is actually a dope idea.

theres many ways to get fresh sounds :use a tape deck(if you know what that is?)sample sounds from life ,outdoors learn to disguise your sounds with your MPC/software.

Torrent sites or rippin them off....
Its what you do with them that counts...
