I have the 4000 and after a few days of playing with it, i'm quite impressed..wish i had the turbo option but oh well, that would've just been one more distraction.....Not only does it sound good, but it came with 6 cd's worth of sounds for it, so I think i'm gonna be using it mainly as a sound module and for resampling stuff back into the mpc......and I got it for a crackhead bargain too...180 bucks with the cd's, a cd rom and a hard drive.....Damn this machine is so silky smooth.....No waveform editing but fuk it....the filters on this are nice too, but a lil hard to use.....

Hey man . . . check out this site:

http://www.tweakheadz.com./

Tweak (the guy that runs it) is HUGE into Emu samplers of all kinds and has a lot of ESI info and sampling tips, etc. for the Emus.....kinda sucks for me cuz my only samplers are Akai, so I can't use a lot of his tips and suggestions, but if you're an Emu guy you'd probably dig the site...

Peace,

MANiK

I rock an emu esi-32 alongside my trusty MPC (must admit that MPC get more attention than the ESI :D)

yeah - here's hoping it's in an OS update.

'velocity to sample start' was a really inventive tool that I wish was re-created in more sampling kit... i mean, it must be pretty simple?
