that was aftermarket designs you flipped on it? i've never seen that one, i've seen some of their limited editions though, like the one pete rock uses and that orange one.

it was a paint job i did myself...i painted the sides front and back a pearl red,,i also painted the wheel and the cursor button,,i replaced all buttons,replaced the pad sensor,replaced the lcd with a red ccfl,replaced the power button,the internal jack,volume and record knobs,added the external scsi flash card reader,replaced the fader,replaced the rotary dial,and also replaced the floppy even though i dont use it,but it was broken and i wanted this thing to be as new as possible,,,,wish i had the original box...

also...did you sharpie on the "akai 2000xl" on the front?

actually i painted the front black,then put the stickers on,then painted red,then removed stickers so it was left black,,i like how you guys welcome people,,just like every other forum,,nothin but a bunch of pricks,,,its cool,,,i need yall like u need me,,

i was going to do a whole tutorial on how to change the ccfl and also how to change the tacts and the slider,,,but im waiting for all my parts to get here,,,i will post all the picks with it,,also im custom painting the lcd surrounding to match the rest,,,so as soon as all the parts are here i will post the pics with a "how to".....i cant find the lcd anywhere,,,ive called vst,telesis,mpcstuff and a couple other lcd manufacturers and nothing,,,,so because my light is faded i am going to install a super red 4 inch ccfl to match the paint..

its for sale on e-bay right now,,,so many people have owned this since prefuse that i wouldnt even consider it his anymore.

It's so ugly and distracting I don't know how anyone could even work on it.

it was his and yes i use to own it now another forum mbr has it and is selling it. comes with two pics of him grafing it and a disk full of samples he used on one word extingisher.
