I'm thinking about up grading the hard drive and cd drive? But I was wondering if the cd drive is compatible withh the jj's.
because, I was stoked to have record thru, but when I upgraded to jj I lost it ,not that Im complaining. I like jj, But would like to know if this cd drive would work with jj? Before I drop the dough.

Thanks for the info.

Under JJ OS you can read audio from audio cd, but you can't use the mpc to record on the cd, it is possible only with the akai os.

I don't have a HD, but JJ OS supports it, so it should work fine.

you can use the cd drive to burn wav files, you just cant use it to save
stuff like programs, and project files. jjos1 5.55 by the way, i don't know about os2.

so with OS2 or XL you cannot burn off the CF card or the Hard Drive?

sounds like it can burn certain things, ie record a whole song as a wav file and then burn it on.
