I sold a lease to some guy a few days ago. I let everybody know I send my files through megaupload because I've noticed most email services don't send/receive attachments over 60mb's. The guy replies adamant and pissed off that he thinks I'm sending him spyware and he doesn't know why he has to install software to download a beat(which he doesn't). I've done this process with 30-40 different people already over the past year without issue leading me to believe he's a noob.

That brings me to my question. Anybody know any cheap(free better) ways to send 100mb+ files online with direct download?

I transfer large files over the web all the time using Box.net

I have the Pro account, but for your needs the FREE or INDIVIDUAL ($8/month) account should work fine. Look here to compare the price plans: http://www.box.net/info/pricing-plans

Everything is done through a browser on both your side and the client side...no muss, no fuss.

I might look into that further for business related sending. I've already had a personal account for a few years now with box.net, but never thought about it as far as business was concerned.

Many people have chatprograms like MSN, Skype and ICQ. I often send through those. I also have my own webspace with a lot of space, so I can upload files there.

There are also alotta similiar sites to megaupload like rapidshare.com and so on.

Or you go get some free webspace like on tripod.lykos.de or web-set.com. For 100mb it's more than enough. Jus search google for free webspace and you'll find a million. They're jus a bit slow.

But you have your own webpage so you should also have some space, right?

if you have your own space and have ftp you can use that
or get one of those file hoster scripts and put it on your space
that way he won't get no annoying banners or anything
just click on the download

lol what would prevent any other method of transferring any less dangerous to this guy than megaupload. pretty ridiculous.

Yeah, sending an email would have been great if the free services most people use received or didn't **** up with large mb files. Got the shit sorted out. Guy's still a noob. Wasn't really aware megaupload was that damn difficult.
