Hi guys, i'm new mpc user from Russia.i have some problems with it, may be somebody can help me to solve them:
yesterday i made couple sequences and save it on CF, tnan i save program file.Today i tried to open this sequences, but mpc said:Wrong File! But, day ago all seq's were good. i tried to open program, mpc loaded some of the samples, tnan it wrote:file not found!but i didn't rename or replace, even delete this files from flash card.WTF!Than i scan flash card with program for computer which should fix problems on harddrive and flash cards, it's scanned my CF, tnan i open my card and understand that some of my sequences and programms were deleted!Damn...Also when i check the space on my CF it writes that it's allready full, but there is only 830 mb loaded. My bad is that i bought compactflash 8gb transcend ultra (133x), i just didn't know, but now i read that i should use 2 gb max!Another my fault was that i didn't know one thing about amount of the files in the main root!I had 80 files in the main root, now i found out that i should put all of them in the folders, but for example when i chop a sample it's and use slices they allready goes in the main root, but not in the folder!how can i change it?
GUYS how do u think, is CompactFlash 8gb the main problem in all my troubles(wrong files, files not found, deleted files)???So i should buy just another one 2gb?Or may be something else also works not good?

Also i don't understand why in 1.24 Akai os Chop shop works so slow(unreal slow), in version 1.21 chop shop cut big sample in two seconds, in the last version it cuts small sample nearly one minute. How can i fix it?

the bigger the cf the bigger the problem,,,,switch to something like a 512mb...i use 4 of them and they all have extra space on them and i have more than enough samples...
im going to use them as seperates...like
1 for drums
1 for strings
1 for brass
1 for sfx
you get the point,,,
i had the same problem with only a 2 gig card,,so you might want to go lower than 2gigs....i couldnt find a 1 gig card in my area or i would have purchased a couple of those instead
if i were u i would try to find a 1 gig and nothing higher..
i tried a thousand frigin things with my 2gig cards but the mpc read it as
(card type:?????????)
soon as i switched,,baddabing, all is good,,,,,,hope this helps!!!!
