Was that just your first impression when trying it or after a while of use did you come to that conclusion... I am just curious how the workflow is on it... and I am curious if all the menus use that southern slang in the machine or is everything written in proper english or at least the standard acronyms we use in the field.

if ur able to get face-plate that is less try-hard (cos the original grill looks like it was designed for goth/metal/rap heads) and your able to delete any inbuilt samples that you dont like this thing will be good.
but defo need a skin that does not say beat thank on it cos shit sounds gay.

If they can get the OS right I'll support them by getting one for my son.

If they can get the OS right, my son's not touching it, it's going to be for me. 512M Ram is NOT enough
for my live set needs. 64G of Samples available in realtime, should satify my live set. It would be nice
to not have to reload at 10 minutes for 512M in the middle of my set...

But it's all up to them and their programmers at this point.....

Looks like a bunch of cheap plastic and used parts.

I don't care if it's made out of cardboard, if it does what they say it does. I'll just DIY me a new case....

For example, this metal faceplate costs $79 for the DIY 808:
