Yes Indeed. But the audition of the end point in trim is still messed up. Crossfade seems pretty nice so far.

pffff

interesting. anyone have an idea on the best use of this feature? also, is this essentially the same as mono+mono=stereo?

why does qlink record extra events?

like im recording just LPF as realtime into a sequence, yet there's entries for "Reso:0" being put there too. whats the point?

step edit shows all the events.

i'd love to get a reason why JJ removed the ability to use both qlinks. like what new function has taken the capabilities away.

as noteon and realtime, they were very powerful for laying down two sets of tweaks at once.

now the realtime setup is even set like noteon, weak as kcuf - whereas u cant lay down extra passes of different realtime data, it records over the previous data like its noteon data (per note events).

haven't had time to install this yet.
jj detailed the fact that stereo crossfade is potentially troublesome because it uses a LOT of voices.

he said that a chord with a long release w/ stereo crossfades played 3 times will pretty much killl your polyphony.

i responded that stereo crossfade is far more likely to be used most on sample chops from records to blur the chops into each other more smoothly.

so now, odds are most of my chopped sample pgms will take 8 voices simultaneously as they go chop by chop.

this is ok cuz i'm using POISE for drum layers so i think i'm ok.

Sample mix is great! It's a feature I was hoping for JJ to implement. It basically enables you to do a sample accurate audio track mixdown like you do on a multitrack recorder. On the MPC the objective would be to save polyphony.
You can of course do this by resampling the output, but not as easily, I think.
For shorter samples you can use it for designing layered sounds. A hihat mixed with a kick drum for instance.

yo by the way I am not at my MPC right now so I cannot remember whether on mpc a stereo sample uses 2 voices or one ? like I rarely use stereo samples so I dont know but on MV stereo sample uses 2 voices.

2 voices for sure.

1 stereo chop crossfaded = 4 voices.
2 stereo chops played sequencially = 8 voices for a very brief period of time depending on your release settings in ADSR.
