I'm sorry, and I don't want to make anyone angry... But I have to say that I agree with Mr Sosa. I also have the old style pads on my MPC1000 and I have not experienced any problem with them and like them a lot...
I think that it is interesting to discuss and to propose some improvements regarding the pads, but saying "the old ones are shit" is not really relevant... It seems to me that it would be better to simply say: "Mine broke on me", "I don't like them" or "I prefer the replacement ones"... It's a question of preference, it is subjective, and I think that every opinion should be respected...

hold on a minute...

I'm from RI and didn't even know that NUMARK, AKIA, Alessis was around... I had a homeboy that had a pair of NUMARK TT back in the day and thought the company that made them was in Cali... I was REALLY surprised to find out that ish was in Cumberland. Then my best friend in HS is one of the salesman that travels around the world... dishing his wares for AKAI!! LOL!!!
