Loading Samples! Help!!!!

Hey Guys,

Just got a MPC500 really pleased with it. However having difficulty loading files...

Loading folders mainly if I try load a folder that is from the sound library that comes with the MPC it loads fine, but as soon as I try load a folder I have transfered from my PC or Compact Flash Card it loads but then doesnt play back the samples.

I know it recognises the files as you can play them in load up mode but it doesn't like loading them together. I can load them into individual pads fine but obviously would be helpful to do them in folders.

I also tried recording samples in saving them and then re-loading and the same problem occured! Ive read and read the manual for help but Im doing everything it says and its notting happening for me!

Do I have something set strange? Any help would be much appreciated...

All I can tell you is make sure the equipment is faulty. The first MPC500 I bought had a faulty card drive and wouldn't read or load anything....

Make sure your files are the right file type, but I dont know why this would matter because if you recorded stuff in directly then it should work....

I can't remember exactly what happened when mine wouldn't read files, but I couldn't get anything to load and I read the manual a billion times and finally realized it didn't work....

Just a thought, you probably know this...when you load a folder with only samples in it (no program file), you then have to create a program and assign samples to pads.
