MPC60 II Pads prob ?

I got some drum hits on my pads, but they keep playing some distortion or other sounds behind the sound I've put on the pads. It also plays the sounds I havn't assigned in a recorded seq.
So I saved, turned off, loaded up a different beat, the other beat don't do it its fine. I power off, load the beat I was geting the back ground noise on, and its still doing it. So I made the beat again from scratch and I'm still getting other sounds or white noise/crackle on the pads.
It does not happen every time I hit the pads, it seems to be random
Anyone know whats happening ?

Yes, I sampled in individual hits.
It plays either a distorted crackle or one of the other sample's that's in the machine as well as the hit.

You got sounds layered in one pad? Try playing back those chops without any layers with them.

I haven't knowing layered any sounds on the pads, but I don't know how to, so could well have done it with out meaning to.

I had a look again last night, and I don't happen in older saved songs, so it must be a setting.

Could be one of ur pads is triggering itself cuz of dirt between the pad en case. It lightly presses the pad down. At least this is what I had, sounds triggering from itself in a recorded sequence. Though some people on this board say you should not open up your mpc since we are all retards I just open it up, cleaned the pads and got it working.

I really do not know if it is the same problem as mine but you might wonna be careful where ur ashes from the splif go

I had this same prob again today, started a new song, sampled a kick, a snare and a short bit of vocals.
The drums have the vocals very quiet behind them or this horrible crackle, its very random when it occurs.

This must have happened to someone else ?

Sounds like it's your Record In cause it only is happening when you sample from what it sounds like.

The sounds are fine for a bit, then randomly I get these probs out the blue. I can't hear them when editing the sounds, just during playing back a sequence or when I hit the pads.

do you have memory extension ? if so , remove it and see .

Hello guys, I still got this prob, here is and example,
This a section from a snare track when I recorded down to pro tools.

You can hear some of a piano sample playing random and a kick drum. Like I said its different things and even if I delete the piano sample from the sequence and from the memory it still plays it.
Not in this case but some times it will do the same thing, but play crackle.

Also today I was trimming a sample and at the end of the sample playing it put out the crackle and it wouldn't stop.

Someone has gotta know the reason for this, its doing my head in.

Any help is greatly appreciated

I don't have an answer for you, but I can confirm that I've heard the exact same thing on a 60 before too.

Its not the REC IN because usually the samples play fine, then random quiet chunks of samples on other pads pop up occasionally.

It's easier to notice on sounds that are more simple, or transparent, like a low bassline or sine wave.

I've removed the memory expansion and still had the problem, though that doesn't exclude the standard memory.

Pad sensor? Layering? Memory Prob? Not sure...

If anyone knows, I'd also be really interested!
