alright mangz... i went up around the corner to an electronics supply shop and bought myself a blue 4" cold cathode fluorescent lamp; and after some nervousness behind the wire snippers and electrical tape, my baby gurl has got some timex indiglo-type of shiznit going on!
i took pictures with an oldschool gotta-go-get-the-film-developed-first camera, so give me some time.

you need to get the 4" CCFL, then take apart your mpc and shamelessly, but carefully, dissect the LCD module and you will see what you have to do. seriously, i managed it with electrical tape, snippers and a screwdriver during my lunch break from work.

It's not a big thing, the clearer the light the better the visibility.
