Ok, after all these weeks I finally lay down a good set of sequences. I put them into a song. I then saved to the hard disk under save "all sequences and songs". I even created a special folder for it. Now when I reload I see it playing but have no sound. Can you help me with what I have now messed up?

Thanks folks, as always, I appreciate it.

I'm sorry man, I think you just lost all your sounds.

I think the 5000 file structure would be the same as the 2000xls. WHat you have to do is save the PROGRAM as well as the SEQUENCES.

The sequence contains all the midi data and the programs contain all the sound/audio data.

Each time you save a sequence, you also have to save the programs that you used in the sequence. And each time you load a sequence, you also have to load all the program(s) that was used in the sequence.

Someone please confirm if I gave him the right tip, because I do not use the 5k.

Thanks for the info. I was concerned that might have happened. I don't suppose there's a way of assigning sounds to the sequences that I saved???

Well, lesson learned, I will now go back and see if I can recreate. I should have wrote everything down as I did it.

Hey, what the heck, it's good fun to learn! I was really getting into it.

Thanks again.

Everything happens for a reason.

Guaranteed, the next piece of music you make will be a lot better than the one u lost.

Well I am back on track. I re-did the piece I was working on and did make it better. Boy did I learn a lesson.

Thanks everyone. Now all I have to do is figure out how to either create a web page or figure out Facebook. I hope then I can post some of my simple music.

+1, it usually gives you the option to save samples with program. You want to do this so all of your samples, programs, and sequences are in one folder.... that way when your samples get dumped out of your RAM (when you restart), you can reload the samples from the session folder....

just save "all entire memory" in a new order to make sure that youre saving everything!

now i think you just forgot to save the programms and samples...

pz NO!
