Different midi sync settings on different midi outputs

Hi!!

I´m trying to send midi clock on the midi output A and midi time clock on the midi output B and the mpc doesnt allow me to do this. In fact, I can only send one type of midi timing to the whole outputs... So I guess I can´t sent different midi settings on different outputs, can I?
It piss me off because I want to send midi clock to me synth and MTC to my DAW (Logic pro 8, which can´t receive midi clock)
Any comment?

MIDI-wise, this would be very intense. There is a lot of data in a sync signal. I'm not saying it's not possible, in fact I wish for this too.

Eeeew. I will be needing to do this as well. Didn't realize it's not possible.

By nature, MTC requires a dedicated MIDI port sending only MTC data. The MPC should be able to handle outputting MTC on a single dedicated port while outputting all other MIDI data combined with MIDI clock, on the remaining MIDI ports. MIDI clock requires little overhead.

So I guess it´s not possible to do what I indicated above, is it?

Not if the MPC OS you are using won't let you individually assign a different MIDI sync protocol to each MIDI port.

Try slaving your DAW to your MPC using MTC on one port, while slaving the microKorg to MIDI clock on another port. All my gear is in storage ATM, or I'd try this myself.

This would be possible if the microkorg accepts MTC messages, Which I think is not the case.

I have my DAW (Logic) slaved to my mpc via MTC.
And I have a Prophet 08 which I want to slaved to my mpc, but it only accepts Midi Time clock messages

Because I can´t send different midi messages to different outputs, I guess is not possible

Which makes think how stupid is to have 4 midi outputs on the MP and not be able to send different messages....

So for example: in the sync window, with the MPC set as master, you select port A and dial in MTC under mode, then you select port B and cursor down to mode-What happens when you try to change the mode to MIDI clock?

So like you have port A set to MTC, then you switch to port B and dial up MIDI clock. Is port A also switched to MIDI clock? And if this is the case, which would make it a global setting, WTF is the point of having the option to select which port sends sync?

Man, read above, I want 2 have:

MIDI OUTPUT A: MTC 25 frames --- DAW
MIDI OUTPUT B: Midi clock ---Synthetizer

Yeah, I get it. The first part of my last post was a question for you. The second part was rhetorical.

I'll ask again: After setting MIDI OUTPUT A to send MTC, what happens to the MIDI OUTPUT A's MTC setting after you then set MIDI OUTPUT B to send MIDI clock? Hmmmmm?

That blows. Which version of JJ are you using?
