ive crashed (im guessing) my mpc 2000xl a few times in the last few months and i keep getting these two screens/menus??
just wondering if anyone else has gotten or seen these screens before??

i can still move the cursor around and use the f buttons to navigate those menus on the bottom but they just got back and worth between the two screens. looks like some kind of code??? i can also change some values of all those crazy numbers with the jog wheel. its weird, def seems like i crashed it because i can't do anything as far as pushing the pads or playin sequencer and making sounds. but these menus/screens seem to work with button presses and such. i wonder if its a secret menu or something?? that i stumbled onto by accident but i can't get out of it, which is why i think it crashed.

the crashing isn't a big deal it still works just needs a restart, just curious if anyone else has seen this.

Its an untrapped error that has been discussed many times before.
Just start the mpc over again. We've all been got by that screen.

If your a programmer you can decipher the screen, other than that, power off, power on.

I had to quit laying down anything with the note on feature since I had so many problems with it. Is it the processor or the RAM that f's up?

It is the software / operating system.

Where this thread is concerned the sequencer memory has become corrupted.

The debugger and dump display has been tripped accordingly.

How ? Maybe one of the AKAI developers would care to comment.

Why ? because this crash to debugger and dump display bug has been there since OS 1.03.

Such is life.

By the way, If you have the full memory 32mb and you get that frequently, it usually helps to open the mpc and remove the memory stics and the just put them back. worked for me a couple of times.
