thats would cut into the mpc1k market as well as the sp range as well as well as mopping up the xr-20 and streetbox crowd.

I'm not sure how they'd make a profit if they sold it for $350.
However, they need to keep it under 1000 if they want to get their product in the hands of those they are marketing to.

Yeah $350 is a little too low for what you are getting.... they need to undershoot the 1000 though. Maybe like $750-900

it's low in mpc price range... te man is right, if they are able to get it that low... they will sell quite a bit of them. Maybe making profit is not the goal, and pissing all the other sampler/drum machine companies is! lol...

i know, i was kidding..... but pissing off other companies by beating them with something that has a name like beat thang would be quite funny. That would be one of my goals if I was the kang of that company.

i dont see this thing being as much as 700 cos that like the rs700 and mc909 market plus the mpc2500 can be had for 800.

if something is that price range then it is targeted at professional studio users and i can see them going for a machine that has that low end groovebox market appeal.

i see this unit being sub 500 no mmore then 450 cos that design and the size tells us the kind of target market its aimed at bedroom producers but with the specs to hang with the big boys.

in this day and age there is no reason that it should cost 800 to get a sampling drum machine with inbuilt sounds.

You made a couple of good points that got me thinking jpeg.
It would be smart for the Kangz to keep the thang under 700 but being that they claim to be 100% independant I'm not sure if they can afford to keep it priced under $1000 without loosing money. BUT that's just my opinion.

depends on how many they are having made... also depends on how many employees they have... and it definately depends on how much it is costing them. With the economic crysis happening it could very well be that the people making te machine parts for them are giving them cheap business in order to get some business.

That sounds correct. Even $1000 seems optimistic, if they plan to break even in reasonable time that is.

im looking forward to this machine cos i just sold a korg esx and was about to get a 1k but would consider this if its in the price range.

the features are dope good sounds but i need to see more of the type effects it has and how the sampling features stack up.

but would only cop if its under 500

wonder if beatkang can post some more videos of this in use and implementing sampling and chopping

i see this thing a the most fully featured all in one sampler drum machine/grovebox (hate that term) but to me the whole look is geared toward young cats on the come up i hear the beat thang guys mentioning some 12 year old kid go gets down on the unit, these hard up kids aint gonna have money they just got ideas.

look at the visual style and flashing lights (pro features) but the look tills u the intended market so on that basis i feel this unit should be under 500 prefrably under 400 id say the 350 mark is about right.

can u imagine a working industry producer in his mid 30's wanting to give up his mpc/motif, or his protool rig to use this?

not to diss the machine its dope but this is aimed at the younger crowd primarily, but certainly anyone can get good use out of it cause it covers so many bases on its feature set and gives value interms of the features packed into such a small unit.

The only thing that thing is killing is people's bank accounts, way too expensive when most people can use a mpd32 and a computer.
