auditioning samples while seq is playing?

hi!

is it possible to listen to samples while sequence been playedback? i mean simultaneously. just to hear what fits with what and how it possibly could sound together.. this is the way im used to work on old school soft fasttracker,does the job for me..

does jj os supports function like this?

yeah its possible... Thats what a sequencer does...

You can just add drums then loop that. Have your drums playing then think of how to lay down your samples or so on.

Just look up videos of what the MPC is capable of... EASY

I think he means auditioning samples before loading them. I've had this problem too, when you go into load mode the sequence stops playing.

well if thats the case then its not possible...
You cant have your sequence play and be in load mode.

Yeah man, that's one of the most frustrating things about the 2500. I have the 500 and it does it perfect! Just play the sequence and then go through drum sounds to see what fits the vibe. JJOS doesn't do this. I don't understand why. It seems like it should be standard across all MP's. Anyway, so far the only MP's that do this are the 500 and 5000. I'm getting a 5000 very very soon....
