Something I noticed today when maxing out the voices:
The audio tracks will cut out, and then not restart again until the start of the sequence. Considering how audio tracks are designed to be used, I think a nice simple addition would be to give audio tracks priority. Infact, audio tracks could be 'locked in', so say you've got a stereo audio track playing, then there is only 28 available voices left, and the audio track can never be interrupted. I think its much better for a one-shot sound to get lost in polyphony land than an audio track, which is likely the guts of the song. This feature could stop some potentially embarrasing live moments.

Thoughts?

I'm putting together a live set and mixing down most of the tracks from a song to 1 audio track, then overlaying drums and a few other sounds. Smartarse :P

So how should I go about putting this in as a request? I vaugely remeber theres a standard format you're meant to follow.

I've also found a bug relate to audio tracks in 2XL, do I make a thread so other can verify it before sending it in? Last night the audio track was cutting out when using note repeat on a seprate track (kick and snare), and polyphony was no where near maxed out, only sitting on about 4 voices.

If that's what you believe then you are missing out on a very functional workflow.
Using audio that you actually play adds a real vibe to your songs.

As for this feature I would say NO.
You should never ask for anything that affects how polyphony is handled it will only make available polyphony dependent on variables.
That's the same type of BS Akai did with the 500 and it doesn't work.

By trying to implement this function you could easily end up with the use of effects changing polyphony, track overlap affecting polyphony as well as other unforseen problems.
