We have way more features than an MPC 1000. More ram standard than an mpc 5000 fully maxed out....... More sounds than any hardware drum machine in history that were recorded and mastered in the best studio's in the world. Color LCD screen, More FX, 2, 16 gig SD card slots instead of 1, 2 gig Compact flash, 2 USB ports instead of one and umm we dont have to be hooked to a power chord yet our machine is tha toy????.........riggghhhhttt ooook lol. Yeah and just the proto is plastic the real one will be all metal.....but hey if you need a big boat anchor and 8 midi outs to make hits then do you.
If yall hate it so much why you keep talk'n about it. I see the same folks in here talk'n trash. Shouldn't you be making beats if you are so into music? Music is the point right?

It's really funny to see 22 pages of chatter on here. Seems like we got yall shook up a bit. Word! Keep talking positive or keep hate'n just keep talking. We love it..... We been through hell and back to make a beat machine from scratch..... I'm only 27 and figured out how to do this $**t for real. I even beat Roger to having a working proto and he's "GOD" to you..... Well if hes god then meet the Damn Devil. I make THANGZ and the industry is about to feel my wrath. It's not every day a 27 year old biz man can build a company from scratch thats got the whole MI world scrambling.

Now, could you please give us some info on the sampling features?
I'd like to know if the Thang can chop/edit/time stretch samples.
It would be great if you could post a video showing the Beat Thang's sampling options.

shut us down with what? we already know about the specs and saw the demo vid from namm. there was actually some good questions on this thread that they didn't answer(not that they had to answer them) but they were ask in a professional manor. cat responded back and sounded like soulja boy...

Yes it will auto chop and slice samples and offer Key grouping so you can turn samples into an 88 key patch.

The sampling will work just like any sampler, Threshold settings, Normalize ,gain Resample through FX, start and end point.

There will be Cut off and Res and ADSR, 2 fx sends, pitch, Volume ,pan for each pad. *8 pad banks per kit or patch*

Velocity sensitive pads, 16 layers per pad

Will read loop points in Wav and AIff files (which means if you have a synth or string sample you can make it play forever as long as you hold the KEY)

Plastic was for the proto. Production will be all metal and much smoother and refined. The design has evolved.
