I am thinking of getting a MPC2000XL to use in a Live Setup...

I wish to be able to do the following...

Use the Pads to trigger 4,8,16 bar MIDI sequences to control my Virus and the internal samples.

At The same time manually trigger samples on the pads.

Be able to load multiple sequences and songs at once so I can easily start the next song when the time arrises. What are the limits as to the number of sequences available to be loaded at once.

Control Midi controller messages using the MPC slider. can you assign it to any midi controller number.

Any Advice would be appreciated....

Cheers,.

"Use the Pads to trigger 4,8,16 bar MIDI sequences to control my Virus and the internal samples."

Yes you can do this, but remember that the mpc's pads are not in the same order as a keyboard. http://www.mpc2000xl.com/pads.htm

"At The same time manually trigger samples on the pads. "

No problem. Just use a diffferent track for this.

"Be able to load multiple sequences and songs at once so I can easily start the next song when the time arrises. What are the limits as to the number of sequences available to be loaded at once. "

i think 99 sequences will load. Not sure though, i advice you to download the manual from http://www.akaipro.com/ to check this.

I don't think that's possible.
