Whats up all? Having a huge hardware issue with my Mpc2000

When I turn my MPC2k it stays on the MPC Ver.1 ROM display screen and ALL the LED lights are on. Stays this way. Even When placing the System disk it cannot Read it and boot.

Here are two things that I have done recently. I have updated the RAM about 6 weeks ago and was working GREAT! I also have not turned it on in about 2 weeks.

Any help would be great!

mpc's are moody and dont like being ignored for 2 weeks! HAHA j/k

naw really though, if you have already tried using another system disk you could try taking the new ram back out and trying to boot without it. good luck. oh and please be sure that you have your mpc and any valuable hardware on at least a good surge/spike protector (not just a powerstrip) and better if on a ups. peace.

it could possibly be a faulty disk or disc drivve too, try cleaning it. these things get dirty all the time.

ups - uninteruptable power supply.
its basically a battery backup power source. you plug it into the wall and your computer or mpc or whatever into it. not only does it protect against surges and spikes in power, if the power goes out (blackout) or goes low (brownout) it keeps on giving the right amount of juice to whatever is plugged into it for a short time, giving you the chance to save your work and shutdown.
