When you go back from XL to Akai OS its become an Flash Rom Erase Error !!

Damn this shit is buggy...
I've sent 4 bug reports today...

1. (and major bug) The 16 LEVELS don't work like they should, sometimes when you pick a sound that you want to spread on pads and click OK the sample dissapears...

2. (minor bug) some problems with highlighting the used column, the highlight is in the wrong column

3. sometimes when in EFFECT MODE, and click MODE + some pad, the mpc gets stuck and when u press pads it shows different menus (as if MODE was pressed) and does not play samples!


please please please correct there errors ASAP!

is it the one you're talking about ?

i wouldn't get to angry at the bugs (right now), i'm sure the jj team isn't huge, and there is no way they can sniff out all the bugs like we do actually using the OS, we all have different habits and technics when making music on these machines and those dynamics help them pinpoint problems with the OS

We should be grateful they actually listen\reply and fix these bugs, you are under no obligation to use JJOS, you can always go back to the akai os and report bugs to akai and get no response

these guys have already issued 2-3 bug fixes for the 2500

There is another Bug between Timing Correct, Note Repeat and Sequence play.
Move Swing at 75%, press Note Repeat 1/8 , 1/16 , or 1/32 and hit a Pad. This works fine.
But when plays a Sequence at the same Time, the sound is strange.
When move Swing back to 74% the sound is playing correct !!

Try it !

And another one:

Inst Program and Timing Correct will not work.
When you hit F2 to Timing correct, the Sound is not to hear and in the Programm Edit Mode by Pressing F1 the Sample List is empty !!!

Several Sounds are plays to high (tune up) in Audition.
After loading these sounds they are tuned down. You see that in the Sample list.
The Sounds are from the Original MPC Sound Library

Even with the 1.07 bug fix the 16 levels is still not working properly. As mentioned earlier the sample does a Whodini on you once you hit 16 levels. On the reinstall of factory os it reads an error message, proceeded to reinstall os1 and got another error message and tried again and it installed well, finally reinstalled os2 and there was no error message. Everything appears to be working fine with os2 reinstalled. Kinda freaks you out when you see the error message especially when it's talking about error writting to Ram, but I am believeing that it's all good. I 4 sho appreciate all that JJ does, which is why I copped os1, os2 for both my 2500 and 1000. I'm gon roll with os2 till osxl is more stable. I do a lot of buisness with artist and I can't afford the setback time. I also appreciate all you tech heads that are willing to help with the finding and fixing of bugs as you do what you do.

On OSXL 1.07 I found this strange Thing:

For a while

I created a Autoload folder in OS2 with Programs and Samples.
When I load this Folder in OSXL, the Samples works only in Full Level Mode.
But is shutting off !!

When I create a new Program in this old Folder and load Samples in it, Full Level works fine.

When i go back to OS2, Full Level is ok.

Thats not funny

is that not because of the differences in sound/prog parameters between the two OSs?
