I'm using the free version of JJ, I believe it's 3.06?
I never used Locate/ Go to before but I need it now, and it doesn't work like the manual says it should.
Is there another way of using it in JJ, or am I missing something?

Thanks.....

This key displays the locate window so you can enter a locate point in a sequence via Numeric or by moving the data wheel. You can also memorize the locate point via F5[goto] and F2[capture] .
Then use F5 to go directly to the point you just memorized.

I'd like to make use of this feature... I'm starting to work with longer sequences and I'd really like to be able to "bookmark" certain sections to change to them easily.

Evidently it's been disabled in jjos (why??) - and it definitely doesn't work on my 2500.

Is there a workaround in jjos? Something else that provides this feature?

yeah I actually tried an audio track... the problem is that it immediately plays from that point, whether the sequencer is stopped.

the best thing I've found is to set the loop point. works okay.

Regarding GO TO/ LOCATE it was considered difficult to use and unnecessary so it was deleted.

it works without changing tracks, but needs other controller, even just MPD.
Totally forgot about that locate thing, and usually I was setting start of the loop or just jumping from time field with numbers.
