So some of yall might remember the Jog Wheel Installation thread i have here in the 2500 forum and as yall know the jog wheel i bought brand new from mpcstuff didnt work at all. So i reinstalled the old jog and wheel and it worked fine until now its back to the same old glitchy bs. Instead of buying another jog wheel i decided to say fk it and bought the entire pcb board for the right side. Thats actually going to be an easier installtion than the soldering of a jog wheel.

Anyways i was wondering if any of yall put a different jog wheel on the MPC 2500. I was thinking of just sanding down the lip part so that way i can just slip the jog wheel on without having to take the casing off. Has anyone put a custom jog wheel on?

boards 78 jog wheel is only 23

well its not my fault that mpcstuff sent out a faulty jog wheel that obviously didnt work

it wasnt too much of a hassel and the extra work is just fine. the thing that pisses me off the most is the obvious jog wheel was bunk in the first place.

SIGH well MPCstuff is backordered on the PCB boards but the good news (if any) is that im getting a refund for the bunk jog wheel i got.

the problem im having is with the actual electronic (rotery encoder) the piece thats soldered onto the PCB board. the problem that people have with the jog wheel (plastic piece) is that it has to be lined up correctly. I.E if you take the cover completely off then remove the plastic jog wheel piece for any reason. it may take several attempts to put it back on because it may not line up correctly and if it doesnt then your cover will not fit back on correctly and will actually push against the jog wheel making it hard to turn.

my solution to that is to just sand the lip of the jog wheel so i can take it off and on without having to take the cover entirely off.

i was merely curious to see if anyones placed a different knob on their mpc 2500
